10/22 Fliter Bubble
A filter bubble is when the internet automatically picks out certain websites that it feels is best for you based on the other site you may regularly look up. The potential drawback for this is that when trying to boarding you search it is nearly impossible because you are in such a constricted area of exactly what you need to look up. The types of website that may be pulled up or the different information that maybe pulled up may not be suitable for exactly what you are looking up at the time. The potential problems that this can cause on academic research is that you might not be able to find sites that you professor may assign to you. The filter bubbles may only bring up stuff that compares to your social life not your academic life. The only way that you may be able to escape these filter bubbles if you go to your school library which might not be accessible to you at all times. This can hold you back for getting actually creditable sources that you might need for something that has to do with your academics. I really haven’t noticed or really was aware about filter bubbles so I wouldn’t know exactly how it has effect my personal life. I assume that it has held me back from possible information that would be worthwhile to me.

Hello Kristen I agree with you the whole way. I believe that a Filter Bubble do work off of recent searches that u recently pulled up, and it could be a defect with that because it may not pull up the proper website that you professor may be looking for which could cause u to fail a assignment.
